One of the most popular types of numerology used is based on the theories Pythagoras, who was a very wise, educated & mystical man. He was born in the 6th century BC on the island of Samos which is just off the coast of Turkey in the Aegean Sea. He is know to have traveled & studied extensivly throughout Southern Europe, Northern Africa & the Middle East. He created a school on Kroton, in Southern Italy, where he taught Mathematics, Astronomy, & Music.
Pythagoras was held in high regard by his peers for his mathematic abilities, but it was his even deeper delight for learning, truth, wisdom, & especially his passion for discovering examples of the grace, beauty, & harmony that is expressed in all things that truly sets him apart from his peers.
Pythagoras combined the mathematical disciplines of the Arabic, Druid, Phoenician, Egyptian, & Essene mathematical sciences to create one of the most commonly used system of numerology known today. As, with any science, it has continued to evolve up until present day times. Virtually all cultures of both Eastern & Western origin, inclucing the Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Hebrews, Egyptians, Phoenicians, early Christians, Mayans, and Incas, have all employed some form of numerology to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, the universe & their connection to the universe.
The letters of the alphabet have numerical relationships. These related numbers, used in various combinations, give us access to the deeper meaning of life that are contained within the words that we use to describe our world.
Using numerology can help us to understand who we are, the karma we brought to this life, the life lessons we are meant to work through in this life, our past, our present, & our future. The numbers 1 thru 9, 11 & 22 have meanings that are based on foundational metaphysical concepts, & mystical & scientific knowledge of how our universe works. By finding the number value of names, places, dates, & etc. you can discover their hidden meaning & make use of that information in your life.
Our present year 2007 is a “9” (2 +7= 9). The essence of the number nine is completion, fulfillment, endings, charity & humanitarian endeavors. This the holograph of energy that surrounds & permeates all of us on this planet during this particular year.
To find out your personal number for this year, add your birth day, month & year to the current year. For example: Sept 09, 1972 (9 + 9 + 1972 = 18 + 19 = 37 = “1”). Next add your personal number to this years number (2007 = 2 + 7 = 9) (1 + 9 = 10 = “1”). Just keep adding the numbers together until you end up with a single digit number. We will discuss the master numbers of 11 & 22 at a future time. In this example, your personal number for this year would be a “1” & you would be experiencing the energy & patterns of a “1” within the planetary experience of a “9”.
